The Driver Certificate of Professional Competence (CPC) was first introduced in September 2008 for PCV drivers and then a year later in September 2009 for LGV drivers. Established by the European Union, it is a set of standards to ensure all professional drivers are both competent and proficient with the aim to improve road safety through continuous development throughout your driving career.
Available at our fully equipped Bathgate training centre, periodic CPC training courses are both theoretical and practical, where upon successful completion at any point during your current Driver CPC you will be accredited with training hours towards to renewal.
Your Driver Qualification Card (DQC) is valid for five years from the date of issue. In order to continue driving after that, you must undergo 35 hours of refresher training during your current certification.
