ADR Training

Initial and refresher courses are available at our fully equipped Training Centre.

Our comprehensive ADR training provides you with the specialist skills and knowledge required to understand, and as such avoid, any health and safety issues in relation to the transportation of dangerous goods.

Initial and refresher courses are available at our fully equipped Bathgate training centre, where upon successful completion of the course you will be certified to carry dangerous and hazardous materials by road. Valid for 5 years, your ADR can be renewed for an additional 5 years in the preceding 12 months before expiry by completing our short re-certification course.

The ADR training course is both theoretical and practical, covering all types of vehicles and most types of loads. In addition, our comprehensive ADR training includes basic fire and first aid training, course notes, post-course support documentation, ADR certificate & ID badge.

If arranged at the time of booking, your ADR training can also count towards your Driver CPC Periodic training hours.

ADR is divided into:

Core

Basic syllabus for carrying any class of dangerous goods in road tankers, tank containers, packages, drums, cylinders and loose in bulk.

Tanks

For carrying any class of dangerous goods, in road tankers or other tanker containers.

Packages & Loose in Bulk

For carrying any class of dangerous goods in (sacks, drums, cylinders, cartons) and loose in bulk (skips, tipper or dust cart bodies etc).

Class 2

Gases; compressed, liquefied, dissolved under pressure or refrigerated.

Class 3

Flammable liquids.

Class 4

Flammable solids, substances liable to spontaneous combustion.

Class 5

Oxidising substances and organic peroxides.

Class 6

Toxic, harmful and infectious substances.

Class 8

Corrosive acids and alkalis.

Class 9

Miscellaneous dangerous substances and articles, e.g. asbestos, PCBs and any substance or article not covered by the other classes.

ADR, CPC, & PDP training provides you with the specialist skills and knowledge required to safely perform the duties of your job to keep both yourself and the public safe.

CPC Training

The Driver Certificate of Professional Competence (CPC) is a set of standards to ensure all professional drivers are both competent and proficient.

PDP Training

Petroleum Driver Passport (PDP) is a Government-backed industry initiative ensuring that all tanker drivers in the UK are trained to a consistent, high standard.
